CYMGrd Rev 8 by CYME is a specialized grounding (earthing) design and analysis application for substations, plants, and other power facilities. It helps engineers create safe, cost-effective grounding grids by modeling site soils, fault current distribution, and equipment bonding, then checking step and touch voltages against commonly used standards such as IEEE Std 80 and IEC 60479. The software streamlines the full workflow—from importing soil resistivity test data and fitting soil models to evaluating ground potential rise (GPR), transfer potentials, and mitigation measures—so you can iterate layouts quickly and document compliance with confidence.
